{"id":3905,"date":"2026-03-15T16:42:46","date_gmt":"2026-03-15T15:42:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.parabureau.com\/parabure\/?post_type=project&#038;p=3905"},"modified":"2026-03-27T16:16:41","modified_gmt":"2026-03-27T15:16:41","slug":"goran-80-years-later","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/dev.parabureau.com\/parabure\/project\/goran-80-years-later\/","title":{"rendered":"Goran: 80 Years Later"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In July 2023, the Zagreb Serbian Cultural Center (<span class=\"pb-smallcaps\">SKC<\/span>) hosted a three-day event to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the execution of Ivan Goran Kova\u010di\u0107.<\/p>\n<p>Ivan Goran Kova\u010di\u0107, one of the most significant Croatian poets, joined the Partisans together with Vladimir Nazor, where he wrote some of his most important works. His poem Jama (The Pit) describes war crimes with such intensity that it is considered one of the greatest works of anti-war poetry in the world. He adopted the nickname <em>Goran<\/em> as a sign of his connection to his native region.<\/p>\n<p>The event opened with recitations by poets Goran \u010colakhod\u017ei\u0107 and Enes Ki\u0161evi\u0107, a reading by actress Ksenija Marinkovi\u0107, and a performance by the Academic Choir <em>Ivan Goran Kova\u010di\u0107<\/em>. The exhibition featured, among other things, photographs, wartime and postwar editions of the poem <em>Jama<\/em>, graphic portfolios by Edo Murti\u0107 and Zlatko Prica, illustrations by Frano Ba\u0107e and Pablo Picasso, as well as posters dedicated to the <em>Goran\u2019s Spring<\/em> <em>festival<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The visual identity of the event <em>Goran: 80 Years Later<\/em> brings Kova\u010di\u0107 back to life through the use of a vivid color palette.
